It's not uncommon for men to face sexual health challenges as they age. At El Paso Men's & Women's Clinic, there's hope for those struggling with these sensitive issues. Dr. Leo Altenberg, along with his dedicated team, addresses erectile dysfunction (ED) through a variety of innovative methods. Low-intensity focused shockwave therapy is a state-of-the-art, nonsurgical approach that enhances blood circulation to the penile area using targeted energy waves. Hormone replacement therapy is another avenue Dr. Altenberg and his team utilize. This personalized treatment involves the use of hormone replacement therapy pellets, designed to naturally elevate and balance testosterone levels tailored to individual patient needs. These pellets are formulated with bioidentical hormones, mirroring a more natural hormone therapy option. To learn more about how these advanced treatments can help address sexual health concerns, get in touch with El Paso Men's & Women's Clinic located in El Paso, TX.

In the comfort and discretion of our El Paso, TX office, focused shockwave therapy can be completed swiftly. The process of focused shockwave therapy involves a skilled team member guiding a specialized probe across the targeted area to foster increased blood flow to the penile tissue. This treatment typically lasts about 15 minutes and is engineered to be minimally uncomfortable for patients.

For hormone replacement therapy, Dr. Leo Altenberg's approach begins with a thorough evaluation and comprehensive blood tests to design a testosterone replacement therapy pellet that's just right for you. This bespoke pellet is then placed under the skin in the upper buttocks region, a method chosen for its ability to provide a consistent and measured distribution of testosterone. This steady hormone delivery aims to balance your levels and alleviate related symptoms.

Absolutely adore Dr. Altenberg and his entire staff. Everyone is friendly & welcoming. Dr. Altenberg is professional, yet holds nothing back. If you want a doctor to tell you the truth & how it is, this is your guy. I respect him and his staff for being honest, kind, informative, motivating and prompt with appointment times.

Dr. Altenberg is my new primary care doctor. I switched because with my old primary care doctor, I saw PA’s for 2 years. My wait in the waiting room and the examine room was short. He took his time to understand my issues and asked probing questions to better determine what next steps should be. He did not immediately prescribe unnecessary pills. Rather he is doing extensive blood work and muscosketal X-rays. He also wants to know specifically what existing conditions I have and what my parents died of which will also help him. His office staff have been very helpful on the phone and in the office. I highly recommend Dr. Altenberg and his great staff.
